Positive: I found the place comfortable, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith were terrific hosts. I stayed a week. The bed was comfy, and the A/C was great. The shower had strong pressure, and the water was at a good temperature. I enjoyed the morning breakfast. Breakfast is served around 7 am, which is good if you want to start your day early. On some nights when I stayed out late, I let them know I was skipping breakfast and picked up something at the street vendor on the corner.
Negative: Payment is by cash, PayPal or wire. I made payment via PayPal, entered the amount in U.S. dollars, and the default was that the recipient, Mr. Smith, would receive the money in British Pounds. He was OK with this as it was being deposited in a British pound bank account. The amount credited to his account was not what he expected, likely due to exchange and other fees. We negotiated that I would provide a partial top-up to my payment. My suggestion: pay cash or wire. If using PayPal, do the transaction only in U.S. dollars.

Positive: Smith’s home stay was a very warm and friendly environment with: a very comfortable bed and fresh airy rooms, hot and cold shower and most of all an enjoyable breakfast with coffee/tea, sausages and eggs. In addition to all the amenities, the price for a room is very affordable. I enjoyed my stay.
Negative: Location was not in middle of the city but easy to find using a taxi
Summary: It was indeed a home away from home. I now feel comfortable planning my vacations to Guyana as the price for rooms are

Positive: Really cosy, cute guesthouse. I was so happy with how welcoming the hosts were, made me feel right at home. Location is a bit out of the town, but was easy to get a taxi back to my accommodation. Its also next to a supermarket which is very convenient.
Negative: Nothing. Location could be a bit closer but that doesnt matter as I would stay here again anyway.

Positive: You live along with the family sharing their apartment. Elvis, Claudia and their son. They have three rooms for homestayers in the upper floor/apartment. In the bottom floor there is the B&B. They are very kind answering questions and can help you organize things. I even got a ride downtown while driving the kid to school. Otherwise you are dependant of the buses that stop nearby to get downtown. There is a local chinese takeaway and supermakret just around the corner.  My room was clean and the shower were really good. I enjoyed my stay.
Negative: Maybe the location and choice of restaurants nearby if you don't like to go far after dark.

Positive: Mr. Smith and his wife welcomed me very friendly after my long journey from Suriname. Mr. Smith helped me to order a taxi to get to the atm because I did not chose to contact him in advance to make a pre-payment. After the driver overcharged me, he immediately called the company's boss to make sure I would get the overcharged amount back (which worked just fine). The rooms were very clean and there was a/c working. Also the shower and toilet were clean and they hand out towels in case needed. WiFi is fast enough to stream movies or sports. The breakfast is an English breakfast including eggs, toast and sausages and Ms. Smith prepared it every morning at whatever time I woke up. Mr. Smith also offers airport transfers for a reasonable price. The communication with them was great, they were very loblvely and helpful, also for tours and information, and I really enjoyed my stay at their guest house. Thank you very much!
Negative: I missed nothing, I had an amazing stay!

Positive: The room was in a cozy environment and the beds were comfortable. I felt that the whole place exuded a welcome to an open embrace.
Negative: Maybe it would be better with my own toilet but it was absolutely no problem
Summary: The hosts were very engaged in my safety and made sure I could get a taxi that then picked me up. A good breakfast suite

Positive: This guesthouse was spectacular... The couple that runs it were so hospitable and fun to talk to that I didn't want to leave. The guesthouse itself has such an authentic Caribbean feel to it that it could be used in a movie. Really great stay all around.
